Ignacio Gallego is a professional cellist, arts entrepreneur, and founding member of the chamber ensemble Agarita, based in San Antonio, Texas. Over the past 25 years, he has performed internationally, led cross-disciplinary collaborations, and worked extensively in arts education and nonprofit programming.
Through years of hands-on experience building Agarita — from securing funding and cultivating donor relationships to expanding community impact — Ignacio developed a deep understanding of the challenges arts organizations face in sustaining their missions. This immersion in both fundraising and strategic growth led to a pivotal realization: traditional models are often limited and vulnerable, while emerging technologies like blockchain offer a more transparent, connected, and sustainable path forward.
Driven by this insight, Ignacio founded ARTScoin to bridge the gap between the nonprofit arts world and the tools of Web3. His goal is to create a decentralized ecosystem where value flows directly to artists and institutions, and where every supporter can help strengthen a global cultural network.
